Wade and I went to Charlotte over Labor Day to watch the first "home" game for USC. It is hard to call a place "home" for a home football game when it is in a different state! We decided to go kind of last minute, and had a really hard time finding a hotel room. There was a lot going on in Charlotte that weekend, to include the World Chess Tournament. Who knew! One solitaire room freed up at the Omni. Of course it wasn't in the price range we wanted, but heck, at this point, a room was a room. We had this nice tray waiting for us when we checked in....
And these pretty fresh flowers were on our coffee table....
Why yes! You guessed it! We ended up in the same room we stayed in the night we got married. That was special. The next two pictures show the massive amounts of construction that has been completed since we stayed in this room 5 years ago....
We had a great time tailgating with our friends Richard & Ansley and Laura and Jason. We ran into a few of Wade's old buds from college too. Sadly, I was too enthralled at the wild and crazy tailgaters next to us that I didn't take any pictures! I remembered to snap one once we got into the stadium. Not very good of me, but hey, it proves we were there!
The Gamecocks squeaked by with a "W" over ECU.
On the way home we stopped at the outlets in Gaffney and got some GREAT Labor Day weekend steals.
It was a nice mini weekend get away :)
