Happy Howl-o-ween!

(Bo likes peanut M&M's)

Wade and I enjoyed Halloween at home this year.  In our old neighborhood, we never had more than 2 or 3 trick-or-treaters.  One year we had friends over.  I made a big pot of white bean chicken chili, we set up outside.  I even had our boom box playing with scary Halloween music to welcome the kiddies. One kid showed up.  Booo on trick-or-treating in our old neighborhood!  After that year, we just closed up shop and went to eat or do something else during Halloween trick-or-treating time.

This year, we enjoyed our NEW neighborhood which was hot and poppin' with trick-or-treaters.  We have gotten to know a lot of the kids and our neighborhood since moving there in April.  They were so cute!  We had pirates, monsters, Mario & Luigi, a 50's girl, Laura Ingles Wilder, a sheep, a shark, and all kinds of other little creatures.

We sat out side to pass out our candy with our little beagle Tanner.  The kids were so cute.  They would come up to the door, drop to their knees, put down all their candy and instead of saying trick-or-treat, they would say "can I pet your dog?"  It was adorable.

It was a perfect night.  The temperature and weather could not have been any better.

Around 7:45, we headed in and put our bowl of candy out for any stragglers.  It was a great Halloween evening.
