Oh.... how far my Friday nights have come. I got home from work, measured the windows, read some more of The Hunger Games on my nook and waited on Wade. When he got here, we left for our date night which consisted of dinner at Mellow Mushroom (where the Governor of South Carolina, her family and secret service sat next to us... no joke), self serve yogurt at the modern TCBY in the Vista and... wait for it....wait...for...it...... shopping for fabric and fringe at Hobby Lobby!
This is what we (I) ended up picking out to be the fabric for the valance I am making for the bay window and kitchen area to match our new painting:
We (again I....) picked out some fringe pictured below. I love that the coins give it a Spanish/European flair to compliment the picture and our trendy, traditional style.
Here is a picture with the fabric against the painting. Wade has such lovely model hands, wouldn't you say? He was oh-so-thrilled that I made him take this picture after our wild and crazy Friday night at Hobby Lobby....
I am very excited to begin my first home sewing project. Don't you think it will turn out just perfect??? I do! :) Wish me luck!
