Beach Babes

Wade and I enjoyed another great weekend together. This weekend we spent at Litchfield by the Sea close to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Wade’s Aunt Gloria offered her condo to Wade’s Mom and Dad for the weekend since she was unable to go to the condo. Wade and I got out of town a little early and arrived Thursday night. We had a great time on Friday. We slept in (yay!) until 8:45 and took out time getting up and at ‘em. We went to the Eggs Up Grill for a delicious breakfast.

We decided we needed to go for a walk to burn off all the grease we just ate, so we took a very long walk down the beautiful beach.

There wasn’t hardly anybody there. It was a perfect day with perfect weather. Nothing is better than walking down a secluded beach hand in hand with your honey.

We talked about all kinds of crazy things as we love to do on our time together. We pondered a lot about life, and marveled at the footprints in the sand and how they beautifully wash away into the sea.

We ‘adopted’ the cutest little baby sandpiper. Well – I wanted to adopt him, and Wade said, well he couldn’t survive away from the salt water. I told him we could throw some salt in the bathtub and that will do. He said, well, where will he get his exercise and run and fly around? I said we could throw him outside and Bo and Rosie could chase him around! I asked Wade what our baby bird’s name was – he replied “Bill”. Sorry we did not get a picture of our new little son, however, I did get a picture of his mommy and daddy. Yes – we are crazy, but we love it!  Our loooooong walk on the beach together was by far the absolute best part of the entire weekend.

We spent some time that night in the hot tub. It was perfect weather to enjoy the hot tub – cool outside and warm in the tub! Wade’s Mom and Dad arrived later Friday night. The next morning Wade’s sister Elizabeth and her step-daughter Seslie came in to join in the fun.

Saturday we spent some time shopping. Wade bought me the prettiest sea colored shirt from Ann Taylor. We then went to the Carolina Opry to see the Christmas Special.

Getting ready to tell a Christmas Tale!

Pretty soon, came Sunday morning where we cleaned up, and headed to HOME SWEET HOME!

Next weekend ---- THANKSGIVING with my amazing parents in Georgia then lots of other festivities – stay tuned!
