The week before we found out we were pregnant I had signed up for a personal trainer at the gym, obviously not knowing that I was pregnant! I was looking to shead the 35 pounds I have gained since Wade and I have been married. I wanted to get a PT to show me the right way to lift weights, how many reps, etc. All the personal training got put on hold for a minute with all of the pregnancy complications. Since that is no longer an issue, an since I got all restrictions removed from my post op appointment last week, I have started training! I am extremely sore, which is a good thing. If I was not sore, that would be something to be concerned about. I told my trainer last week that Wade and I will be going to Antigua for a week at the end of April so that is a good short term goal for me to focus on between now and when we go.
So, who is my personal trainer you must be asking (I am sure you are just dying to know).
Corey Jenkins, former Carolina running back/quarterback/NFL and pro baseball player. Wade is a little jealous. :) Corey is a very nice person who carries himself well. It is nice to have a trainer who knows what he is doing for sure. He went back to school this past year at the age of 33 to finish up his bachelors degree. Here is a really good article about it. You can see what a positive attitude he has, and he really does in real life. Click for article of Corey going back to school
I will be taking my baseline measurements this week. Let's all hope his training me and my hard work will pay off with shrinking measurements and smaller numbers on the scale. Ok - have to go now - arms are too sore to type any more!!
