Measurements Are In!

So last night I had to do my monthly measurements at the gym with my PT. It has been exactly four weeks since I took my initial measurements. I was a little disappointed when he first told me I had only lost one pound. I have been working HARD and eating a lot healthier. My disappointment did not last long as Corey told me my other statistics and explained that it is clear my fat is being replaced with muscle which is why the tiny weight loss...

Drum roll please..............

I have lost 4% body fat in 4 weeks. I have also lost a total of 4 inches (or 5 1/2 depending on how you look at it) in those four weeks. I lost a half inch around each arm, 1 1/2 inches around my hips, 1 inch around each thigh and 1 inch around my waist.

My hard work is paying off drastically. Corey says he has seen a lot of people he has trained drop 15 pounds the first month, but those are heavier people. He went on to say he has never had a client lose 4% of their body fat in 4 weeks and that he can tell that I am really motivated! My eating has changed some, but I still enjoy the things I like in moderation. How can a girl go without cheese and yummy bread? I did enjoy a half a piece of turtle cheesecake on Valentine's Day! I have been eating a lot more protein and smaller portions throughout the day. I am trying to be realistic with my eating and exercise and set up a lifestyle that I can maintain for as long as I live.  I am only doing 1 1/2 hours of weight lifting a week and 4 - 5 hours of cardio a week.  That is not that much and the results are well worth it.

I am very proud that my hard work is paying off, and I look forward to next month’s measurements to see how much they will change in another 4 weeks! I am well on my way to looking the way I did at my thinnest when I graduated from college.  Go team Erin!!
