Well, it has been a quick minute since I have updated on here! I think because we are out of a regular camera right now and for some reason my jump drive with all of our pictures does not work on my computer is hindering my blogging aptitude. A lot has gone on since June! Wade’s cousin Stuart was married in July to Marcia Steadman and a dear friend of mine from the church I grew up in, Erika Molgedei was married in Atlanta in the church we grew up in. Mom and Dad are now living in Jacksonville, Alabama due to a great job that Dad took on a three year contract, we took a fabulous four year anniversary trip to St. Augustine, Florida, we went on our annual beach trip to Litchfield by the sea, took a great road trip to Auburn to see them win over Carolina, and last but certainly not least, Wade got a job!
Wade finished up the Summer Semester in pre-pharmacy school and did exceptionally well in all of his classes. Towards the end of the semester, he found out he was going to have to take more classes than expected. It would now be about five years for him to complete school and that is a long time to not be seeing very much of each other, especially when we are ready to start a family. So after the semester ended he started looking hard for a job. We were very open to relocation and had applied to jobs all over the WORLD; Minnesota, North Carolina, Georgia, New York, Nevada, California, Hawaii, Oregon, Australia, England, Germany, and of course here in South Carolina (just to name a few!). A great opportunity surfaced a couple of weeks ago at Blue Cross Blue Shield right here in Columbia! Today is his first day. Our house was filled last night with all the nervous energy you experience the night before the first day of school. We are so thankful for this opportunity.
Losing a job (and getting shingles in the same week) is never something any family would want to endure, however, our situation could have been far worse. I was so worried when he lost his job how we were going to make it. We made it though and are actually better off financially than we were when we started (we are finally debt free! Yay!) We have grown stronger as individuals and as husband and wife through me being so sick and though the job loss. We grew through it and I know we are both more faithful and grateful people for it!
I hope to get some pictures up soon! Happy Fall Y’all!
